Before anyone works for our company, they MUST undergo full CRB/DBS Enhanced checks. We also carry out further DBS checks on all staff every twelve months – even though guidelines advise checks should be done only once every three years!
Rest assured, all courses and activities are insured up to the sum of five million pounds.
Our Holiday Clubs are varied and usually based around a theme such as ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Love and Friendship’, Outerspace’ etc, with several craft activities available each day. Children are also encouraged to join in with any sporting activities on offer if they wish to. We offer daily a structured Arts and Crafts schedule and a full sports schedule.
We also offer sports courses including Football, Cricket and Netball, these courses are based around fun with children learning new skills and techniques.
All of the company’s procedures have been developed around strict rules set down by OFSTED. All procedures are available to see at all holiday course venues.
All courses are open for boys and girls aged 4-11 years. It doesn’t
matter if your child has never played a sport before or if they attend regular weekly sessions. We encourage development through fun and believe every child has the right to play sport. (4-year-olds can only attend each course for 4 hours per day.
We advise that you provide your children with clothing suitable for the time of year and the activities they are likely to participate in, trainers (for sport), snacks and a packed lunch and plenty of drinks (not fizzy). We are a nut-free holiday club.
All of our staff are trained in first aid. We would assess the injury and if it is minor, we will treat the child at the venue so they can continue to take part. At this point, we will contact the parent to inform them and fill in an accident form. In the event of a more serious injury, we would contact the parents immediately and take the child straight to the hospital.
We operate a very strict anti-bullying policy, and bullying in any
capacity will not be tolerated. Anyone found bullying will be asked to leave the course, and their parents will be contacted and told to pick their child up immediately. If your child is experiencing any difficulties, no matter how small, we would encourage you to contact us so we can resolve the matter.
We open our doors for the Holiday Clubs at 8 am. Sports courses start at 9 am, but we offer a free drop-off from 8 am.
We understand that sometimes parents get held up at work or stuck in traffic. If you’re going to be late, don’t panic – simply store our number in your mobile and call us to let us know. We will ensure your child is kept safe in the warmth of the venue until you arrive. No child will be allowed to leave any course without a known person being there to sign them out.
We always try and get the children outside into the fresh air as much as possible; however, if the weather is bad, we will invite children to participate in our range of activities inside. We will never cancel the course due to bad weather.
We do not offer snacks, but we always have spare in case a child
forgets. Water bottles can always be refilled at the club.
